Can I purchase shares at the age of 16?

not in your name it's illegal so if you did through someone else they wouldn't be legally yours 18 allows you to gamble that's what buying shares is a gamble

I think you can buy shares if you have special broker account for trading shares. If bank or broker will agree to open for you such account you'll be able to trade on stock exchange.

Children under 18 cannot sign contracts - wait until you are 18 before you start gambling.

Your parents can set up a custodial account. Their risk is if you lose all of your money and sue them for letting you do it.

no

I'm 16 and want to buy a share. I have the money and reckon it would be a good investment. Can I purchase a share?

Am I too young?

Is there any way around the age boundary?

My parents have a lot of shares in different businesses and are encouraging me to purchase and I'd really like to do it.

Any other information I'd need to know will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
