I got a job 3 weeks ago, I gave my employer a void check for direct deposit. Yesterday was my pay day and a got a big load of nothing. I heard it takes a month for direct deposit to Become effective. Either they messed up and goofed on the pay day and missed me, or it's still processing. However the point is , I got lots of bills to pay, car insurance, and such. And I need the money right away. Does the employer have to give me a check if my direct deposit isn't activated yet? Because I can't wait another 2 weeks for payday again; I have a life, and shet to pay for. If I don't get the money soon I'm in big trouble with the insurance company. What can I do?
