Very few options traders make money. Even banks full of MBAs lose millions on option trading each year
It's a lot of money to get wrong!
Personally I would get a good book on options first. The only one I know is Trading in Options by Geoffrey Chamberlain but it is UK orientated. Option trading is basically a mathmatical thing. In the UK there are degree courses in mathmatical trading.
I would check out a few different options (no pun intended!)
