It is possible to gamble with stocks, but I don't recommend it. Buying stock and quickly selling it within a couple weeks is mostly gambling.
If you buy quality stocks and hold on to them for a period of time, the share prices will go up for a real reason - the companies are earning money every year and becoming more valuable. This is not gambling; you are owner of a money making business.
If you save a portion of your income each payday and as it accumulates invest in stocks, over the course of several years you can grow very wealthy indeed. It is like hiring someone to get a job and earn money for you, and then using that money to hire more workers. Your money grows exponentially.

Go to your local bank like Natwest or so, they can give you information and give you more insight into making investments. You can open an online account with them and use their services to invest in all sorts of companies, start ups... other countries and so on.
Or you could invest your money into a business idea you might have? Like a website? Buying physical stock and selling it? The choices are endless. You decide! And do a lot of research before hand
You cannot do much with such a small amount. If you can add to it in the future, a mutual stock market fund is a simple way to invest. Alternatively, look at the bond market.
