Turning money over to someone to invest for you, is just asking for trouble (and losses).
My suggestion is that you LEARN the basics first instead of trying to find blind advice to follow. Read "Investing For Dummies." When you do start investing, I'd recommend mutual funds at first instead of individual stocks.

I have never invested before but am interested in learning. Is there a trustworthy and reputable company that will make knowledgeable investments on my behalf? I would want to know which companies are being invested in and how much. When I spoke to my bank, they said they can invest it for me but they have no control over it and do not know which companies my money is going to. Does anyone have any suggestions?
