You are likely to fail in just a few months because:
1. You have no business plan describing everything you plan to do for the next 2 to 5 years.
2. You have no start up capital.
3. You have no business experience or acumen.
4. You have no management experience.
Have you considered working for someone else first to learn how the business works?
Yes I own and operate a business. I know how what it takes to run a successful business and what I need to do. I just don't know where to find investors that would put up that type of money, family nor friends. Nothing is impossible so I will see this through.. As for the business plan I am all but finished up with it. I don't appreciate the answers of the people making the assumption that I have no experience. My family all own businesses I grew up learning how to run businesses. Im just left with the situation of finding capital to help me open it.
What is your business plan? Do you have a location in mind? How much money do you need to start the business and operate it for one full year until it becomes profitable? What experience do you have in managing a nightclub? What experience do you have in owning and operating your own business of any kind? You will not get anyone to loan you a cent unless you can answer those questions positively.
Start with a business plan, but honestly, nightclubs are risky and you wont simply find "investors" unless you are putting up at least 50%.
First, the SBA does not put together investors and business people, nor do they make loans (they only guarantee loans through a normal lender such as a bank). If you have no experience, you will most likely not find an investor unless it is family or friend. Real investors know that 60% of all new clubs/bars/restaurants fail during the first year - out together that statistic with the fact you have no business plan and apparently no experience in the nightclub industry and basically no one is going to take a chance on you.
Once you get the experience it becomes easier since by getting the experience, you will also meet people in the industry. you will also know what it takes to open and operate a successful club/bar/restaurant (no, it is not all partying and glamor - anything but).
The title says it all.. I have been researching for days and haven't really found anything on how to find any investors who will invest in a nightclub honestly I don't know the first place to look. I called the SBA and they weren't much helpful. Any ideas on where I can look would be greatly appreciated.
