Is the company Schlumberger a good company to invest and if so why?

Yes It is a good company to invest in. It is a leader in its industry. Like any other leader, it is especially good if you plan to hold the stock for 5-10 years or more. It will be worth more then than it's worth today.

You should pay more attention to the numbers ( fundamentals ) over words ( opinions ) when considering an investment or else you might as well use a sharp pin and take a chancy bet.

investing is a do it yourself thing and it can be handy to compare other shares which each other when using the smallest amount of one or a little amount of money

but be aware to use the cusip code of the fund when there are more companies that are anoted at different stockmarkets but also having the same name
