An investor is typically putting up money for a share in ownership or profit and may offer some guidance or extra services, but does not take an active part in the operations of the business. An LLC, Limited Liability Corporation, is just a special type of corporation or ownership of a business and it can take various operational forms. Members of an LLC are always investors, but may also be involved in day to day operations.
