Shares are part ownership of the company so cannot be converted into anything.
There are preference shares which may be convertible, but preference shares are a bit of a hybrid and not part of the equity.

It is true that debentures can be converted into shares but is it possible to convert the equity shares into debentures and if yes, how and what are the steps and number of types like convertible shares or non convertible shares as convertible debentures and non convertible debentures respectively....
