I don't think it's a bad stock, but let's face it, mobile technology is pretty mature and there isn't much left to do that will move the needle for Apple. Supposedly the 6 will have a larger screen which will do nothing more than bring it to a normal sized Android phone. If you are looking for a double or something of that magnitude, that ship has sailed. If you are looking for $110 a share in the next 18-24 months, then maybe.
I believe its a best time to invest in Apple. The big products like iWatch and iPhone 6 are coming out. The stock could increase about 1.5 times of its current value in next six months.
Apple is a good company, but they lost leadership in new inventions to Androids. So far they survive for the cost of expansion to new Asia markets. Even Microsoft stopped considering Apple as a serious competitor...
A lot of my friends including both my kids switched to Android smartphones as they explained to me it becomes more popular and more cool among teenagers to have Samsung rather than Apple. Nexus 5 has wireless charger, LG has flexible phone, Samsung has eye following system and much more - Apple has new phone size and new colors (something that others had a coupe of years ago). Numbers are showing tat over the past couple of years Apple is loosing smartphones market to Androids. With such sentiment I would not invest into Apple for a long term.
On the other hand, if they make something new that nobody has... than maybe...
It certainly could be. If you invest now, and let's say the price goes up to $100 in a few weeks, don't be afraid to take your profit
Probably nothing in particular. It lacks innovation. If it manages to grab a lot of sales, it might improve Apple's price, but the problem is, which people fail to realize, is that most people already have an iPhone. Upgrades aren't very common these days, unless their phones are broken.
For the long term, probably.
For the short term - 5years or less - yes.
(but don't expect a price over $100. a share in the next 5 years)
I believe the stock will rise again to at least $500
If buying Apple, my opinion is wait until next earnings to see if they miss (because that tends to happen as everyone waits for the next iphone that is already announced), then if it sells off you buy it. jmo, I could be wrong but thats what I would do.
What will the iPhone 6 do to Apple's stock? Decrease the price? Increase it?
