This is your family you're talking about. Why don't you lend them the money so they can go to Oz?
Do you hate them that much, that you would be so miserable and selfish.
Trust me. If you know what it takes to start a business from scratch, you can do that anywhere and at any time.
Family are supposed to look after one another. Don't get me wrong - I don't have a clue about how well your family unit works. (Maybe you do hate your family, and maybe you do have some rational justification) In which case - why even bother to ask?
Maybe you could give them more time to save up - go 6-months/a year later than planned - BUT GO TOGETHER.
You don't say where you live - but I imagine it will be a journey to get to Oz. How many times are you going to get to make that journey?
Make someone's day. It's only money
Take the vaca, you already had one planned so it wouldnt hurt to go on a cheaper one! It will be fun with the family and it will make you happy doing things for other people
You can only spend the money once - so if you treat yourself it will be gone forever.
I am no longer going to Australia due to the rest of my family not being able to afford it, so I thought with the money I have now, I can do 1 of 2 things.
I owned a small clothing company in 2012 which was a huge success and I sold out on everything - then I spent the money on myself (silly me). I was thinking I could relaunch this business as this would be the most money I have ever put into it..and things could turn out good. I have a few celebrity endorsements on the cards who can help promote the company to get it back on the market again.
Or, I can go on a family holiday to somewhere less expensive.
I'm not sure which would be more reasonable. Should I treat myself, or chance opening my business again?
