Stock trading?

All securities are bought and sold thru broker/dealers regardless of the manner in which the buying/selling is done,

Broker/dealers provide two methods of buying and selling securities. One is where the customer uses the broker's website and can enter transactions on line, the other is for the customer to call the brokerage firm. Both use the same platform for order entry.

So to respnd to your question, there is only one site you must use and that is the site of the broker/dealer and there is no difference whether you are investing or trading

If you have that question, you aren't ready for either trading or investing. You have a lot more homework to do, so that you don't lose all the money you plan to trade or invest.

You can do both through a single site like Merrill Lynch, TDAmeriTrade, etc.

This probably sounds like a vacuous question. But I want to trade stocks online (not invest) and I was wondering if there are separate websites for trading and investing stocks or can both be done on the same website.
