What you describe really doesn't come close to anything that could be considered professional misconduct.
Ever stop to think that maybe he was giving you GOOD advice? My guess is you're probably leaking money like a sieve without his income... which would also explain why you're coming up $7G's short.
I wasn't thinking of suing him & I'm sure he didn't lose the money on purpose. He was just too focused on other things. I think he's just arrogant & ignorant & I'm angry over the remark more than over him losing the money.
Yes he was out of line-how is it his business to tell you where to live. He must be in on it with your ex. I don't blame you for going to another advisor. He should have been more focused on moving your money around instead of telling you were to live.
Current and re-admitted students will not receive general education credit for Maryland Community College courses equated to UMBC courses that are not designated as satisfying the general education requirement. Please consult the University catalog for further information.
How did he cause you lose $7,000.? If anyone should be focused on your account, it should be you.
Move on and forget it. the CPA was wrong.
I would agree. Under the circumstances it seems to me as though his representing both of you is a definite conflict of interest. You should probably ask this of your new accountant.
Thats weird, I would not use him again.
By the way, the market has been great. How did he lose 7K in an UP market??
I was having some financial difficulties and my Certified Public Accountant/Certified Financial Planner, who also represents my ex-husband, told me that to save money the best solution would be to TO BACK AND LIVE WITH MY EX-HUSBAND. We had been divorced for three years, and my CPA/CFP knew that I was in a relationship with another man. Nonetheless, he told me that my ex-husband still cared for me and that it was the best solution. I'm still furious about this. Also, he wasn't focusing on my account and caused me to lose $7,000 in six months. (I've since gone to another firm.) But this seems highly inappropriate and crossing the professional line, if not misconduct.
