Like all penny stocks it is highly risky. Unlike almost all penny stocks, they appear (appearances can be deceiving) on first glance to actually be conducting a business. They actually had a positive operating margin of 3% in 2013 although their net income was about 3% negative. Yesterday, 6,175 shares traded, that is $1,000 in trades. Average volume is 100,000 so about $17,000.
Personally, I think stocks like this are a crap shoot. If I want to gamble I play blackjack, if I want to invest I buy solid stocks.
If you really want to invest in the industry that Arrayit plays in, then I suggest buying a "basket" of 4-5 similar companies. That way you spread your risk and have a better chance of picking the one company that will hit the big time.
I've done some research but want to see the thoughts of someone who does it at a quick glance.
