personally, i like them. i like chevon for long term hold because the conistantly pay a dividend. to me that tells me something about the company and its strength. looking at it right now....they are like right in the middle of their 52wk average. I know this doesnt say anything about the fuure but i like to look at it and kinda judge their volatility
Boeing, ive never bought into their equity, but i have their bonds. My rational was that they are a reputial company with a lot of history and market presence. Not to mention being in their industry they are constantly involved in new technologies and manufacturing processes. So in a sense (for me atleast) it was a way to get some exposure to technology but in an indirect fasion.
look over the past 10 days and you'll see that several have taken hits. Big deal on a bump. Look over their history for the past 20 years and you'll see plenty of ups and downs. The world needs planes and fuel - what do you expect the stock to do in the future as demand rises?
Major companies, reasonable dividend, good long term growth stocks.
both have taken a hit lately, your views. thank you.
