What is a freeze in stocks?

Posted at: 2014-12-05
I have a stock that is .0002 and it is expected to freeze at. 001, right before a reverse merge is announced. What does this mean? Is it good or bad?

Hahah its RMTD (remote dynamics), which is a shell co that is assumed to have a reverse merger with Telogis. Telogis already owns their assets, but is not a public stock itself. There was a PR stating they plan to have an IPO and go public by the end of the year. Most people assume the r/m will drive the pps to dollars. Your thoughts?

A freeze means there is no trading in the stock. In this case it sounds bad. Most likely the stock is just a shell and someone is doing a reverse merger. Assuming you don't own much I would just call you broker and tell them to take it out of the account so you can take a write off. It's basically worthless after the merger you are going to barely own anything of the new company. If you own millions of shares you better call the company and find out what the plan is.

In your case I am going to assume this means a total loss.

As usual people want to ask these questions but keep the key detail secret. What stock are you talking about?
