Why is this 24k "gold" coin only $10.00? Will choose best answer ASAP?

I just seen this on a commercial, https://www.2014buffaloproof.com/

$10.00 for a 24k gold coin? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. What's the catch here people?

It's pretty stupid for them to talk about the .9999% pure gold coin they are reproducing, but with the thinnest 14 mgs. of 24 KT Gold plating.

The cost per gram of gold in the US is $43.02 meaning that the 0.014 grams of gold amounts to $0.60 in value.

It's not a gold coin, it's a gold-CLAD coin....the catch is it is PLATED with less than a single dollars' worth of actual gold....

Scam.

You only have to read the ad: "each piece is clad in 14mgs of 24Kt gold"

No doubt you have an interest in directing people to this site. Or you are just plain stupid.

what DONT make sense is people not reading what the commercial says

From the commercial

"Coin clad in 14 mg of 24 KT gold"

what is 14mg of gold worth?

(14mg = 0.00049384oz)
