Are bad managers more common than good managers?

Bad managers usually supervise bad employees. Good employees move on because they have options.

Bad employees tend to put up with bad managers, because a good manager wouldn't hire them.

I have never been a manager at a job, but I have dealt with many. I have noticed, there have really only been a few managers that had a good sense of management and people skills.

A majority of managers were just bad, they can be rude, demanding, they never say thank you, there is typically unfair treatment, favoritism, and they always threaten employees with disciplinary action, including termination.

Honestly, I find this type of management offensive. I also find it poor, pathetic, and inexperienced. It seems when people have authority, they completely forget responsibility.
