BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY $20.00 A SHARE?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?

If you would go to Yahoo Finance for 30 days, reading articles, following the links and studying what you read, you will soon learn the intricacies of the stock market. Amateur investors usually lose their money because they fail to understand the "reality" of the marketplace.

Buy low and sell high is easy to say but hard to do.

There is more than one Bershire-Hathaway stock.

The expensive one you mentioned has the stock symbol BRK-A, is is currently selling for $190,500 per share. See http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=BRK-A&ql=0

BRK-B, on the othe hand, is selling for $126.74. See http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=BRK-B&ql=0

The main difference is preference for stockholders over who gets paid first in the event of a crisis. In the very unlikely chance that Berkshire-Hathaway went bankrupt, the holders of BRK-A would be entitled to be paid first, before the holders of BRK-B.

You misread something. BRK-A has never been anywhere close to $19.00 a share.

I'm reading an article on "The 15 Most Expensive Stocks In The US"

Some of these stocks range from $300-$700 a share.

Berkshire Hathaway comes #1 costing an average of around $121,000 a share.

That's a whole lot for an average trader who can't afford at least five shares of Chipotle Grill.

I was messing around with an indicator today

As clicked on Berkshire Hathaway (BRKA) within freestockcharts.com

I noticed that on Monday June 16th 2014 at around 10:30 AM, the stock dropped to a resounding $18.94 a share!!!

For the people who know about the stock market, why do you think this happened? Is this something that occurs consistently or something you need to look out for if you want to make serious money in a matter of minutes?
