Consequently, the dealing cost will rise proportionally with the investment amount , i.e. £10 for £1000 , £20 for £2000.
This is why apparently cheap dealing cost are not a better than seemingly more expensive flat rate costs e.g. £13, where the commission rate falls with larger investments over the commission threshhold i.e. dealing cost*100.
Hi ,
I am a young person looking to invest a portion of my wages in stock which will be managed by myself .I have little experience ,and wish to first gain some perspective .
I began looking at online dealing and came across a website that appealed to me ,mainly due to its rates and commission .
I was wondering if somebody with more experience than I could evaluate this website ,stating in plain terms it's pros and cons .
The website is https://www.share.com
The account I wish to open would be a share account .
Also ,I was wondering if I could get some clarification on what is meant of a dealing commission of '1% per deal (min 7.50)' .Does this mean that I would pay 1% dealing fees for deals of a minimum of 7.50 or that I would be paying a minimum of 7.50 per deal ? It may be quite a stupid question, but I would appreciate it if you would quickly explain ;) .
Thank you !
