To get started, I'd recommend looking over the video tutorials on Investopedia. They're short, interesting, and teach you the basics of the market. Afterwards I'd recommend researching fundamental analysis and basic accounting concepts. These skills will help you identify companies in strong financial positions.
This will help you get started in the market. Feel free to send me a message if you have more questions, either now or later. I could spend hours talking about the market and wise investment strategies, but in the end you'll gain the most benefit through your research.
Cool,
I have a Scottrade account.
Whatever you do, Buy stocks that are large companies that have been around 20+ yeears, pay a dividend and are down from there 52 week high for no major reason.
If ticker symbol NWN goes below 41.50 I will be seriously looking into getting back into it.
INTC might not be a bad one, I would wait for it to get under 24 bucks a share though
Don't be stupid with what you buy, but don't be a pussy either.
Hi I am 20 years old and currently a student. I have always been interested in stocks and trading and in the past weeks have started looking at some stocks and even made a TD ameritrade account and started looking at the graphs and trying to work my way around. I was just wondering if anybody around my age or older would be willing to help me start learning my way through the program and start maybe experimenting with a little trading. Any help would be appreciated I am very curious and am eager to learn about it.
