I put mine in a sock full of pennies. People think its just pennies so they leave it alone, but really there are nickels underneath.

I hide all my gold & silver coins in a chest, which is hidden in a cave behind a waterfall on a deserted island in the Caribbean. Then I like to make a map of where my treasure is hidden. I roll the map up and put it into a glass bottle and bury the bottle under a random coconut tree.
