How can I find the broker that holds my stocks?

You may end up having to go to the company's investor services department. They have a list of all the registered owners and can replace your shares if they are lost, which is what they are.

your parents know,,, talk to them,,, probably one of them is the trustee.

My grandma bought me 10 shares of stock when I was born, and being that it is a small amount of money, I never really paid attention to where they were held. I haven't seen a statement since I moved away from home 8 years ago, but I still get dividend checks (at my parents' address). I prefer to just cash the shares out before I forget they exist completely, but I don't know who the broker is (and grandma has since passed away). Any suggestions on how to figure this out?
