Being an engineering student you must know that it takes study and then more study to anything in life well.

Begin your education by learning why you should invest and the importance of being able to make your own decisions or how the pro’s make theirs. Start your education by reading “Investing for Dummies” by Eric Tyson.

To continue your education select some of the following

Websites that can provide instructions and help with procedures and terminology are Investopedia - http://www.investopedia.com/ http://www.investorshub.com/ and 1 Source for Stocks - http://www.1source4stocks.com/info/stock... or Smart Money

http://www.smartmoney.com/

Visit some of the more professional websites like Zacks Research - http://www.zacks.com/ Schaeffer’s http://www.schaeffersresearch.com/ Investors Business Daily - http://www.investors.com/default.htm?fro...

Some of these web sites will have advertisers who are worth looking into also. And remember, if they offer free information, get it.

Good luck, at least give it a try,

You must learn to crawl before you can walk. Start by reading "Investing For Dummies" or a similar introductory book - not "MBA books."

I am an engineering student and wan't to have more knowledge of business world. Which books will give me basic knowledge about shares and stock market?

The only prerequisite I have is a local savings account and an ATM card, and all I know is how to purchase a a soap from a shopkeeper or pay my bills online.I also have a TV with business channels or newspapers with business columns and I do not understand a single word they say.

To know how the system works do I have to read all the (MBS/BBA)business administration books. Or are there materials available that would guide me from the beginning.

Please provide elaborate answers and references/links if possible... Thanks :-)
