determining pearl quality

you can always take it to a jeweler for an appraisal.
pearls come in a variety of colors from white to cream to gray to green to blue to aubergine to black.
white is the desired color for most pearls. but I do like the colors.
It is worthless, keep it as a memento or just throw it away, nobody will pay you a single penny for it, you were conned. You are not a qualified jeweller and just because a pearl looks good and has slight grains on it does not make it genuine...grow up.
They buy them in bulk from wholesalers and sell them to gullible punters. It will be worth less than you paid for it.

I think you will find that they would not have been selling you anything of any value on that basis.
I went to sea world at florida and got a pearl everyone was buying it from the divers etc and they were getting the white or creamy common ones and I thought I would try one out and I got a 6.7 (ish) blue pearl is it legit???? It looks really real and you can feel the slight grains on it and it looks good quality idk could it be legit?
Thanks xx
Ps: couldn't find a category so just went with suggested one ...
