Though you might get a small premium cos of its limited production.
A whisky's age is determined by how long it was in the barrel, not the bottle.
(cos the longer in the barrel the smoother it gets and the more flavour absorbed from the barrel)
Being in a bottle does nothing for a whisky

hi there i brought this limited edition whisky 9 years ago and it sold out that year i was wondering how much it would be worth now
it is a 13 year old Ben Nevis single west highland malt whisky port wood finish
there were only 800 made and my bottle is number 384 out of 800 it was hand signed by the distillery manager on the 10th of march 2004
comes with original box and never opened
this is what the label says
this single west highland malt one of only two distilleries on the west highland mainland of scotland -and the only one to draw its production water from scotland's highest mountain, was produced in 1990, when the distillery was brought back into production after having lain "silent" for 4 years. In 1990 the company installed a new boiler, mash tun and fermentation room prior to producing this spirit, which was matured in refill oak hogsheads before spending its last year of maturation in this fresh dumped port bodega butt.

this single malt was first filled into refill hogsheads on the 9th of November 1990. it was then transferred into a port bodega butt number 03/10/01 on the 12th of February 2003 and allowed to mature for a further 12 months. during this time it would absorb the sweet flavour of the port and take on this unusual yet lovely deep ruby red colour.
