I don't know about John's answer because here in New Zealand all you need is over 900,000 to become one. You should find the franchise magazine in your part of the world. Google the name of your country and franchise magazine. You might meet someone through that. Or magazines for investors or small business owners. Should help you find more info than yahoo answers.

My step-father owned a bunch of McDonald's franchises. MCD obviously controls who owns franchises and which they own. The first 3 tests are: "Do you own one already? If not, you probably can't get one", "Do you have the financial means independently of anyone else agreeing to provide you money that means there is no risk of your financial trouble shuttering the franchise?", "If you are a new franchisee, do you fit in some owner expansion program? (basically are you a rich black woman who wants to be a franchisee)"

You fail all these tests. Your chances of becoming a McD's franchisee are less than your chances of becoming a Harvard Ph.D.

You can have the land and building but without MONEY, you are going to repeatedly receive the run-arounds

I own a land and a building for rent for a potential McDonald franchise but i don't have a the business experience to start one on my own. I tried publishing but it hasn't gotten me anywhere so far...

This might not be the right site to publish it but yahoo answers has helped me a lot so i was wondering if anyone could gimme a little more insight in this problem of mine.
