Why would you sell now for $83 when you can get $95 at the buyout? Another buyer may come into the bidding, or ATT may have to bid more, and price may still go higher than 95. The risk is if the deal falls through. That would be the only reason to sell now.

I have shares of Directv, but am confused with the ATT merger. ATT announced to purchase the shares at $95/share (cash and stocks). Can I sell my DTV shares at market price and then get the remainder after the deal is approved? The stock is currently dropping and I'm not sure why. Thank you!
