Investing in Shih Tzus?

Another fad. Think there are still advertisements on T.V. for making money with alpacas. My wife and I have a good laugh every time we see one of those ads. Still there are always people who step up to the plate, only to strike out. That person was not your friend. They either wanted to try to impress you with their pretend knowledge, or they wanted to cause you real damage, or they were just clueless. What your friend wanted was for you to breed shih tzus and sell the puppies, but fortunately for the rest of us, you misunderstood that fact. What you would have set up is commonly called a puppy mill, and usually results in inbred, poor quality dogs that require a lot of veterinarian care. I recall the time I was going to breed sheep, and started out by buying some wethers (neutered male - hey, they looked female at a glance) sheep. Guess we all do stupid things, or as Forest Gump would say, "stupid is as stupid does".

What are you doing with them? Nobody wants to buy 8 year old shih tzus, they want puppies. You need to breed those dogs and sell the purebred puppies. That's how you make money on them, not simply by owning them.

very confusing situation look into at the search engines that will could actually help

I had $20,000 and wanted to invest in something to make money for 7-8 years in the future (planned to retire). My friend told me to invest in Shi Tzus. He said his cousin made a lot of money from Shih Tzus.

So I spent $8000 on a kennel in my backyard, $3000 for 10 baby Shih Tzus, another $2000 on getting them neutered, and $7000 on food, vet bills, paying to have them walked, etc.

The Shih Tzus are now 8 years old. How much has my investment turned into? I wanted to ask my friend about it but he ended up moving away shortly after telling me to invest in Shih Tzus so I haven't been able to ask for more information from him.

Has my investment matured into enough to retire on?
