You would have to invest through a parent/guardian, as you are a minor. Recommend that you don't start investing until you are older, and have learnt about the market. Virtual trading is a good way to learn, without risk of losing money.

I am thinking of doing some long term stock/share investment but I have not got any experience on the subject so any help with how and where I can do this and what are the best ways of going around this are. I know that long term investing in technology companies is not advised but it has come to my attention that investing in the companies, Google, and International Building Machines (IBM) may be a wise idea. Please note that I am only the age of 13 so when I say long term I have a while, and also the amount of money I have available to me is around one thousand pounds.
