Quick answer: If you don't want to RISK getting banned don't buy gold.
Long answer: It depends. You could be lucky and get away with it and nothing else more would happen. Or blizzard could catch you, it wouldn't matter that you have 2 separate accounts. If you'd like to limit the risk of being caught:
- buy low amounts of gold, nothing above say 20,000
- Don't ever have it sent through the mail
- If you use f2f trade, make sure you trade something back
- Don't trade on a level one character that's never been used or created that day
- Listing grey items on the AH and having the gold seller buy them is so, soo stupid.
- Guild banks are a pretty good way, but you can still be caught. Maybe consider having them pass guild leadership to you with the gold in the bank?
- Don't ever mention that you are buying gold in game, make up a conversation with the seller
- NEVER EVER buy from the Chinese. If you'd like a list of gold sellers and prices check out http://www.mmopricewatch.net . You should look at Guy4Game, MMOKings in particular. They are based in Canada and the USA respectively.
As long as they're on the same realm, yeah. Blizzard CAN track the gold though, so you're still taking a risk. You should just take that money you're throwing at gold and get Tycoon though. It's not against the ToS and you can just use it to make the gold yourself.
