how did the example calculate the last 3 columns title in red: Average price, finale stock value, and % gain loss.
Average = (40+50+25+30+35+40+35) / 7 = 36.429
Final price = 200 shares at last price $35 = 7,000
gain/(loss)...
bought 200 shares for 8000, sold at 7,000
return = (sale price / purchase price) - 1
[ FYI - which is the same as: (sale price - purchase price) / purchase price ]
(7k / 8k) - 1 = -0.125, or loss of 12.5%
