Yes you can open your fixed deposit account. Just fill the fixed deposit form and submit it to your nearest branch. You will get the certificate in the day or two.

With address proof you can have fixed deposit with SBI

Rate of interest is displayed at the premises of SBI

Interest is added with your regular income and based on the total income ( if it is more than the Tax limit )you have to pay tax

If the interest exceeds Rs10,000 and as you are submitting PAN card they may deduct TDS 30%

Yes. Anyhow if you are not eligible to pay Income Tax,you may give a form to SBI stating that you are within Tax ceiling Consult SBI,

No ceiling As you are not having PAN better consult SBI

Hello,

I read on the SBI website informations relative to FD "Fixed Deposit". But I want to clarify few points which are not so clear.

1- Is it possible to make a "FD" without a PAN card (because I don't have it ) ?

2- What is the interest rate for a three month's FD ?

3- Is there any tax to pay on the interests ?

4- At which rate will the interest be deducted ?

5- Does the State Bank of India deduce taxes directly after repaying principal and interests ?

6- What is the maximum amount for a FD ?

Thank you in davance for your answers.
