Quick question about the show Shark tank and investing?

Ok lets say mr wonderful gives someone 25k for 10% in their company. So does the other person have to pay back that 25K? Is kevin invested in that company forever?

If the contract states that Kevin owns 10% of the company, without stating any condition that his share of the company is to be relinquished (via a future buyback or a particular objective profit is reached) anytime in the future, then yes, he is entitled to 10% of all the profits to that company, subject to any other conditions or responsibilities as stated on the contract.

Kevin can sell his share of the company if he'd like. 10% may allow him a position on the board, depending on the company, giving him some bargaining power (but that also depends on the contract).

If the company is to declare bankruptcy and run insolvent... Well... Kevin's loss, although he could sue.

Kevin owns 10% of the company, and is entitled to 10% of any profits, until he sells or gives away his share.

Gets that percent of the profits forever, unless he sells his part of the biz.

everyone thank you :)
