Roll Over 401K to Traditional IRA Question?

There are no maximum amounts for rollovers. The rollover is not considered part of your annual contributions. You could rollover your 401k and still contribute another $5,500.

Roll overs don't count toward the maximum. The maximum is based on new deposits.

I want to roll my 401k into a Traditional IRA. The most you can contribute to a Traditional IRA is $5500 a year. How can I roll my 401k into a traditional IRA if I have more than $5500 in my 401K?
