My best friend and I (Both currently 16) started an online business when we were 12. Our starting capital was just $150, for the website and inventory. We now have $5000 in cash reserves and $15,000 in investments (we recently formed an investment based LLC as we both are very much into finance).
We were able to do that, because we put in countless hours (I would finish my homework at school than just work on improving my site at home), and we had an idea of what kind of business we would be running. Eventually, we decided Ebay was better suited for our needs (no need to spend any money on advertising + huge paying customer base 24/7) since we were selling retail products.

If you want this site to be successful, you can, just be prepared to work, and understand that you might lose your entire investment that you place into it.

It all sounds a bit vague. You need a more solid plan. A website needs to be very good to make money- think how many people there are like yourself thinking they will just rattle up a website and watch the money come in.
You might need to spend something like ￡4k in money, time and effort.
How much money have you got to invest?

Okay so I want to make a website , I'm not sure about what but I plan to research and do something I like , but I wanted to know eventually let's say 2 years will I generate enough income to pay for my college tuition ? Or a little part of it?
