best thing is to partner with an oil company and get a share in the rights, let them do the spending
It's not easy to set up an oil rig. You're better off selling it to a major oil producer for some quick cash, or arrange to have other benefits like being given shares, or a job for the company.

Recently my grandmother informed me that some land in Texas that she has mineral rights to has oil. She let me know that a portion would be handed down to me. I'm not sure when the money will reach me but I wanna make sure I make the most out of this life changing situation!
I'm only 18 and was set on becoming an elementary school teacher for awhile but now I'm kinda rethinking.. instead of eventually running out of money, why not try to use it to get some nice cash flow!
I just wanna hear some ideas on what you would do in the situation. The only thing that comes to mind is starting a business.. but I just don't know if I would want to do that.. Any ideas that could stir up some imagination to make me make the best out of this!
