What is the difference between mining Bitcoins or Litecoins.?

Litecoin differs from Bitcoin in following manner:

1) Litecoin can be efficiently mined with consumer-grade hardware.

2) It provides faster transaction confirmations (2.5 minutes on average).

3) It uses a memory-hard, scrypt-based mining proof-of-work algorithm to target the regular computers and GPUs most people already have

4) The Litecoin network is scheduled to produce 84 million currency units.

Bitcoin is the best because its one of the most well-known cryptocurrencies. I've been traded bitcoins for about a year or so, made 20k+ profit. The outlook for bitcoins is going to be really amazing in the future, a great investment in my opinion. There's actually ways to get free bitcoins, link below. Good luck!

It's another crpyto-currency. Here's a link:

There are many, many such currencies being mined today. They are not the same as bitcoin..

If I mine Litecoins, is that amount the same as Bitcoins, or is it a completely different currency like dollars and pounds?

Also what is the most profitable coin to mine right now?

Thanks for any responses
