The best way with limited investment is through word-of-mouth. You need to get the word out that you're a good teacher, and the best way to do that is by having the students (or the parents of the students) do that work for you.

Get testimonials and then print them up in a pamphlet.

Get a website and put them up there. If you can get videos of anyone saying you're a good teacher, even better.

Offer current students and their parents an incentive for referring new students to you. For instance, for any referral that pays for 1 hour of tutoring, you'll provide an hour of free tutoring to the referring student. (You only do that for 1 hour--it's not a permanent 1 hour pay=1 hour free arrangement.

i know there are various ways like news paper ads, distributing pamphlets, etc but i want to know which is the best way...? i currently teach students , going to their home, but i want to stop that as there is very little respect that they give . in india when teachers go to teach at homes they are considered "poor" in status or below avg and so they try to dominate. so i want to call them over at my place now, so that i can have an upper hand.... and also teach batches together and earn much more at a go... plz help asap.
