Is this a good investment strategy . . .?

There are three flaws in your plan. Taking a small $50 profit means that to make any decent amount of money you have to be right many, many times more than you are wrong. That is impossible in the long run. Second, your dollar amounts are way too small given the commission. To net $50 (10%) on a $500 trade you need to make $64 (12.8%). That is a gigantic spread, it will never work. Third, you are taking your profits for "living expenses(???)" so you will never be dealing with anything other than small amounts.

How does Trading Work? I can say you that take a look at this site ( http://forexsignal.kyma.info ) may be it can help you. It 's one of the best course about trading. It seems like Trading is almost totally based on Macro-economics. It also strikes me that since there are not nearly as many currencies as there are stocks/bonds/derivatives etc etc, there must be a large number of market players in each currency bracket. So logically, currencies must be very liquid true? Also, what is the risk of Currency trading, high or low? When I read the business section every day I notice that the Canadian loonie moves hardly a tenth of a cent on a regular basis (in comparison to the US dollar). So it seems like theres very little room for growth in currencies unless you leverage. On that note, whats the maximum leverage permitted for forex trading. I know in stocks its x2, and in derivatives its x10. Anyway the only way to know how to start a profitable buisness is by following some methods like the one that I suggested.

I could have worded question better. I did net $200 last month off five trades enough for gas which is relative and fees can be worse if I just add.

buying big or medium oil and gas stocks and pipeline ETFs and selling when I make a $50 profit after fees and then buying same or similar stock? I have about $4,000 of my own money and have about $2,500 on margin. I repay double the interest and deposit here and there. I take the profit and spend it on living expenses. Not sure if I should spend the high dividends or reinvest? Recently added about $500 in a solar ETF and plan do the same. $7 fees. If it goes down I get paid to wait.
