Good luck on your journey, I started when I was eleven and spent many hours studying th markets and the various products traded in those markets
The best book ever written for the stock market investing for the average person is "One Up On Wall Street", by Peter Lynch.
The book is thin because his great message is simple and easy to understand. He even includes a check list as an aid to finding good stocks.
. .
Being young is the best advantage to have!
You will have time to build wealth safely, and also, you will have time to recover from any mistakes or downturns in the market.
As for books, I liked "One Up on Wall Street", by Peter Lynch. It gives easy to understand explanations and great advice. For other books, if you Google "best investing books", you will get a tonne of recommendations.
A final note, if you invest in index funds, you get the benefits of the stock market without the risks of managed funds. This is the approach recommended by Warren Buffet for people without the time or knowledge to research stocks themselves. That's a side note however, since you are learning about doing yourself!
Good luck, be patient and be cautious!

I am new to the stock market and want to learn about investing in stock. I want to educate myself and eventually invest in stock. I am 16 years old and know I need to open a brokerage account with a parent as I am under 18. If there are any books anyone recommends or any place I can learn about this, because I don't know too much and would not know where to start. Any help is appreciated.
