Stock in my portfolio had a 2 for 1 split but cannot get the right result using add/edit to change # of shares.?

If you manually have to adjust your portfolio, in addition to the number of shares you have to adjust the new cost price. You should be able to confirm the split via your brokers online site the day after the split.
