Besides puts, how can one take a bear position in the stock market?

Let's say I think the stock market is going to crash. How can I take a bear position against this? Can I short sell or buy puts of shares of an index fund?

1) Short index futures

2) Buy index futures puts

3) Short index ETF's

4) Buy index ETF puts

5) Enter a forward contract short equity

6) Buy VIX calls.

7) Buy a VIX ETF

8) Enter a swap as pay stock index leg

9) Buy a swaption for #8

10) Buy a Bear ETF that does the above

11) Buy calls on safe havens like Euroswiss

Probably a billion more.

But the idea that someone has superior market insight but no knowledge of how to put on trades is just new millenium America where everyone is as smart as they wannabe.
