Company stock and Equity Units / Benefits from Job company?

The "Equity units" you mention are probably similar to either stock options or restricted stock units, in which case you don't already own the stock yet because you aren't vested or haven't exercised them. So, no dividends on things you don't actually own.

I have a savings account from my job benefits and I have divided my funds where for example I have 100 shares in the company stock and 10 shares in Equity Units. The thing I want to know do I get dividend return for the Equity units shares? Because they told me I only receive dividends from my company stock. So I would only receive dividends payout from the 100 shares and excluding the 10 shares, where I thought I would receive dividend payout for the 110 shares! Please any suggestions??

Thhanks,
