I did for years first with other people's funds and then with mine. I think that as an individual you can't really make money with futures except as a substitute for cash investment and then the taxation is not very favorable. The fact is that you are in a zero sum game with professionals who have every advantage possible.
Further, for years I experimented with hiring people and giving them complete license to trade any futures contracts they wanted and provided them with massive services. Nobody ever ended up making money long-term. Trading futures successfully requires smart people making models to trade futures against each other, professional risk management, 24 hour global execution, etc. You can't do this.
