Consider a summer program at a local college or community college as another good use of your time.
try your local banks or local insurance companies where you can meet the owners/mangers face to face and let them know about all these awesome things that you are thinking about which is great for a 16 year old it shows a lot of enthusiasm, passion and rehabilitates. let them know that you would like to volunteer because you are interested in the field of business and finance
I'm 16 and just finished this school year and have 2 months to do something with my life. I like finance and business. I do a little stock trading and have been getting more interested in investment banking. Does anyone know or have any ideas of someplace that would hire or have internships for investing. I have access to tons of teen jobs in my area with McDonalds and small mom and pop shops all over the place but just feel it would be a waist of my time. I don't mind minimum wage or not getting paid at all, just as long as its aims towards something in the fields I am pursuing. I've looked into summer camps or clubs as another option but I could not find any, nor any other teens in my area that are interested in finance. I read a lot of financial literature and am half way through a series 7 book. I'm motivated and am willing to work hard even if it means I don't get paid. I'm looking for experience and an opportunity to get my foot in the door. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
