Banks are usually good stocks. The oil stocks are doing the best right now so watch those. Watch GM because that stock is also really cheap right now and it's going to go back up. Good luck! :)
If you really have a high tolerance for risk and will have 2-3K cash available that you don't mind losing then avoid the penny stocks and look for small company stocks that may take off. Check what Warren Buffet is buying and select some of those. You can open a brokerage account with Schwab or Fidelity and do your trading there. Raw material futures and gold futures are also risky investments you might consider.
If you want to have your money available in 4-8 years but still take some risk with it then select a fidelity or Vanguard mutual fund for a stock sector with high growth potential. Maybe you will hit big---or not. Min investment is usually 3K.
If your going to do penny stocks, pick stocks that are actually real companies that have good balance sheets. Market cap should be above 50M. NYSE pharmaceuticals/biotech stocks are nice. Pick stocks will good pipelines.
Examples: RNN, MSTX, INO, IDRA, AEZS
So..
I've been trading the market for just a few months. My cousin actually told me about this website (http://pennystocks.toptips.org)and I signed up immediately after. This is my honest review about their method. I'm not someone who has a lot of time to be researching for ideas because I work many hours. they made it incredibly easy for me to make money in the market. Their reports are easy to read and follow. I've tracked most of the stock ideas that I've received in my e-mail from them and MANY have seen some nice gains after their announcements. I've made a nice profit (55% return on my investment on one, and 112% on the other!) on a couple of suggestions he's given and plan to start trading his ideas a lot more.

Bye Bye
Hi, im 14 and as of right now I just babysit and save mh money from holidays as I am not old enough to get a real part time job. But, I plan to apply this summer when jts my birthday. I want to save up my money from my future part time job to invest and trade in stocks and/or forex. I have been considrring whther or not I should spend my time researching penny stocks or forex as you do not need a lot of moneyto start. I hav no idea which one to choose (I have read and watched videos for forex from Amy Sangster and Timothy Sykes for penny stocks). I also have no idea if this is wise or where I should even start I ce I have about 2-3k saved up ina year or 2 (then that time that I am saving gives me time to research and learn). I know that the chances of me losing all my money are high but I figure better to do it now when I still live with my parents and dont have to worry about payin rent, electricity, food etc. I would really apreciate opinions, advice, etc. Oon this matter. Also, just any advice about saving for my future in general because my parents are both past 50 years of age now and are still working hard to pay for my university and their retirement. I really would lovd to , help them both retire and I want to pay off my university costs and not worry about srudent loans.
