Im thinking of getting out of individual stocks and investing in either mutual funds or index funds. which one?

I have a target date fund and total market index. Im keeping both but looking for others. Fund or index better? Recomandations? Looking to stay with vanguard. Im 37 yrs old

I like Vanguard, ishares, and Fidelity.

Many mutual funds can't seem to beat the industry averages but charge a premium for the attempt.

Check out Couch Potato Investing (assetbuilders.com)

Stick with the major ETF's, several billion in assets, and you (and I) should be okay.

Index funds are boring. Vanguard also has many

managed funds that do quite well and at little cost.

I like their Wellington Fund (VWELX). Give it a try.

Rated highly by Morningstar, 5*****gold highest.
