Read "The Little Book of Common-Sense Investing" by John Bogle (the founder of Vanguard). There are all sorts of complicated things you can do (once I graduate I'll be moving to a quantitative/algorithmic trading firm, and I've interned in the industry all through college), but unless you really know what you're doing, you're almost always better off buying and holding a diversified basket of stocks and bonds. It's very hard to get an edge, and unless you have an edge, the people who do have an edge will be ruthlessly taking advantage of you at every turn. So don't give them a chance - buy and hold. I recommend Vanguard. They have the lowest fees in the industry.
Dave Ramsey is good if you're an absolute novice and are up to your eyeballs in credit card and payday loan debt and that sort of thing, but his investment advice is pretty shoddy. Kiyosaki is a charlatan and his advice will lead you astray unless you really know what you're doing (the "rich dad" is completely made up).

"Investing For Dummies."
"How to win at blackjack" because the stock market is a gamble, and I doubt you have any money you can afford to lose. Just put it in the bank.

I'm a Christian and I would like to know more about investments. I was listening to the Christian radio station and they mentioned a book on investments but I forgot the name of the book. In any rate, I was wondering what book would you suggest for a beginner who knows nothing about investments, to read?
Thank you!
