Hi Yahoo, I wonder if you can help me I am a 17 Year old male and my passion is IT. I am currently studying Level 3 IT Networking and Maintenance I also will be doing test at the end of the year to get my CompTIA A+ certificate Cisco certificate and Microsoft.
I have Dyslexia and ADHD and IT as rely helped me focus on the things I Like and its IT. I will be joining a primary school for some work experience for a year then I will be going into a Bank for the second year. I will finish college when I am 18/19 years old and I am planning on going into a Full time IT job or Higher level Apprenticeship to gain more qualifications and skills.
When I get to the age of 21 and when I have some better experience I am planning on starting my very own IT business I have lots of ideas for this business and I was just wondering if having a IT Business but a portable one meaning I can take my work with me and not have a shop so this way you are not having to pay rent etc. Would it be good to offer business my work to them as a On call technician meaning that they wont need to hire a full time technician I can be there when needed and only charge them for the work I have done.
Can someone please tell Me is your own IT business worth it?
Also should you charge per hour or for the work you done or a call out fee then the work you have done?
The main reason why am so focused on trying to be successful is I have always been told by teachers I will never do well....But anything is possible in it? I mean look at sir Richard Branson.
Also I was talking to my IT Tutor and he told me IT is the way forward and easy money is this true because I have made some example of a days work but prices change and not all days are the same for example
If you charged each person you see £13 and you see 12 a day this is then £156 per day £780 per week £3120 a month £37,440 that its self I think its a good wage for a 21 year old lad with is own IT business but when the big repairs come more money will be made.
So is a IT business worth it?
Please help me thank you
